He Said It Was Only a Fluctuation of Feelings, Not Love

There are some words that stay with you for a long time. Not because they were loud. Not because they were harsh. But because they changed the way you looked at everything you once believed. Sometimes, you think you are building something meaningful with someone. You believe the connection is real. You believe the feelings are mutual. You hold onto the conversations, the memories, and the moments that made you feel special. Then one day, the person tells you something completely different. They say it was only a fluctuation of feelings. They say it was never love. Those words can be painful to hear. Not only because of what they mean, but because you begin questioning your own understanding of everything that happened. You start wondering: “Was I the only one who felt this deeply?” “Did those moments mean something only to me?” “Was I holding onto something that was never truly there?” The truth is that people experience emotions differently. Sometimes, one person sees a connection as something temporary, while another person sees it as something that could become a future. This difference can hurt, especially when your heart was already invested. But one thing we should remember is that our feelings were still real. The love, care, and effort we gave were genuine. Someone else’s inability to feel the same way does not make our emotions foolish or meaningless. Sometimes, people come into our lives and create beautiful moments, but they are not always meant to stay forever. Some connections teach us lessons about ourselves, our hearts, and what we truly deserve. Love should not leave one person constantly questioning their place in someone’s life. Love should come with honesty, clarity, and mutual effort. If someone says it was only a temporary feeling, accept their truth, even if it hurts. Because sometimes, the closure we need is not the explanation we wanted. It is the understanding that we deserve someone who is certain about choosing us. Some feelings may fade. Some connections may end. But every experience can teach us something valuable about love, healing, and choosing ourselves.
