My Lover Dances Without Me
My hands betwixts his, staring down at his feet I giggled, just one step forward at a time as he struggled to keep his feet aligned I felt his joy and tension while the next song played Same pace I whispered, just move with me Our breast touched the other His arms wrapped around me While we dance through my lead He was my bad dancer yet He came to dance with me I leaned forward to ease the tension Grazed my hands round his neck Our lips almost touching as in a kiss My lover is dancing but my lover can’t dance His breath against mine Our first dance became our last Cos my lover now dances without me
