THE HINGE
Pen and Poetry on Paper This piece means everything to me—because it finally fit. ‎I’ve carried this idea, this coded language of symbols and raw phrases, for over a year, maybe longer. I had the bones of it in me—its weirdness, its urgency, its silence, its scream—but I never had the right canvas. Until now. Somehow this work said "I’m ready. Let’s tell them." ‎ ‎This isn't just a drawing. It's a convergence. ‎ ‎The symbols—? and X—are my signature, my imprint. But they’ve always stood for more: the collision of doubt and certainty, question and declaration, search and mark. They're the mystery that knows it's a mystery, and still dares to speak. ‎ ‎The woman stands in the stillness of contradiction. Her spiral lollipop—her silence—says more than sound ever could. Behind her: a wall. Not to keep you out, but to show you what's been scrawled on it. Because walls remember things. Every phrase, every awkward, winged whisper on that wall is part of my cause. Our cause. One that can’t be buried, because it was never made of flesh—it’s fire. ‎ ‎“Truth tastes like rust.” That line stuck in my throat for months before it landed here. Because that’s what truth is: hard to swallow, metallic, aged—but it clings, and once it’s in your mouth, you never forget its taste. ‎ ‎This is the beginning of a new style I’ve kept in shadow. Call it a gravitational scribble, a rebellious interlude, or just my way of yelling softly.
