In 5 years Time...

​I stopped measuring my future success with years—you know, that classic line: "In the next five years, I want to be this or that." ​To be completely honest, this is just a personal preference and nothing more, but I simply cannot stand self-imposed pressure. I believe in putting in relentless effort, getting results, and using those results as fuel to get even more results. Rather than giving myself a strict deadline, I give myself more reasons to put in the work. Even when a failure happens, guess what? That is still a result—and a lesson. ​Why do I see things from this perspective? ​Because I’ve seen so many people make those five-year plans, and when you ask them how it’s going, you hear something like: "Well, I’m not where I planned to be, but I’ve come a long way and I’m proud of where I am." ​And truly, we are proud of you! Your hard work paid off and you got real results. But deep down, you’re still slightly bothered because you didn’t hit that arbitrary target on time. ​Instead of living under that shadow, I choose to view life as putting in the work and getting the exact results relative to the energy invested. So I just tell myself: "I want to be great." Then I lock in fully and work super hard to achieve that greatness. I feel that when you operate this way, you actually end up achieving far more than you ever could have wished for. ​I still wouldn't discourage anyone from setting targets and deadlines—they are super helpful for many people. I’m just sharing my personal point of view on how I navigate life. ​So don't mind me... DO YOU.
