This is a personal tale for expecting mothers

Hi my name is Zainab, I'm a big lover of art in any form, I enjoy creating art, and testing my limits on how I can interpret my art to others out there.

Im going to preface this whole composition by saying, this is a writing based on my experience.
I in no way am saying that every other woman experiences are the same as mine but I'd love to hear from any other woman who can she'd some light on her experiences too. So let's get started.
It was an understanding of mine, that pregnancy is a beautiful thing, I mean, how can it not be, right?
You are literally a walking miracle at that point, making new human body parts and eventually a whole new person and all that.
Based on my experience, I can say a few things about this process, it has been a process of, for the lack of better words to discribe it, "HAPPY DISCOMFORT".
Some things are glamourised and narated to the future generations of mothers as wonderful, beautiful and all that, I can say for myself, it was " Hard", It was Painful and atimes through the duration of the pregnancy it was a mental drain. So I am penning it down as a documentary of sorts, MY EXPERIENCE WITH PREGNANCY "MYTHS" DEBUNKED.
I wanted to take it week by week, but I no longer truly remember what occurred in specifics, so I'm doing this in trimesters.
FIRST TRIMESTER
I think I knew, or at the very least highly suspected that I was pregnant the moment my period was late, I remember thinking to myself I needed to get a pregnancy test strip, but I was too shy to ask my husband to get me one at first. So my first week went by no test, no period, and me getting progressively more apprehensive about not really knowing what was going on, until I worked up the courage to just tell him to get me some PT strips on his way back home from any pharmacy. He didn't know what a PT strip was by the way, at least he didn't know until he got it.
I remember taking the test and not being able to leave the bathroom until the results was ready, and maybe it took a minute maybe it took five, I can remember seeing the two distinctive lines show up on the test strip and it felt almost like and out of body experience, I became numb in a way, too shocked to come to the realisation that I, was pregnant, that I was going to be a mother to someone, I couldn't believe it really, and my brain couldn't process it fully.
So I'd say my first reaction to knowing I was pregnant, was shock even though I initially suspected strongly that I was pregnant.
MYTH 1: The myth about women being overwhelmed with emotions, happy emotions upon finding out their pregnancy. This wasn't real for me, although it might have been because shock and going numb has always been my primary reactions to stress and stressors in general, or it could be because this is my first pregnancy, or even that it didn't really take long for me to get pregnant, all might be true, but in my case I felt shock and even fear more than I did love or happiness.
I was sick a lot during my first trimester, it was a roller coaster of sickness in the form of nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, lethargy, hypersensitivity to smells, and just general discomfort, I couldn't eat well, couldn't drink well, I remember just laying on the carpet of my living space and just trying my best to survive.
I grew a steady and strong hatred for all forms of animal protein, milk, egg, chicken, fish, beef anything and everything animal protein was repulsive and a cause for nausea and vomiting for me, this was especially painful because everyone and anyone who knows me, knows I love meats and eggs. I loved them but there I was puking my guts out at the mere thought of an egg, not the act of eating the egg. no, the mere thought of an egg was enough to make me puke.
My aversion to certain foods came at the same time as my aversion to smells of any kind. I became a person who hated even the slightest smell of basically anything, but strong smells such as perfumes of food was the worst.
PS. I don't know why, I'm currently 39weeks and 2 days but recalling those days is making me feel dizzy and nauseous🤢.
I'll keep this short, my first trimester was full of tribulations but I think in my sixth week was when I first felt the baby move. The best way I can describe that feeling is: you know when you have diarrhea and your tummy does that rolling thing, like it's signalling you that it's getting ready to purge out it's contents? So it feels like that but with no accompanying pain discomfort or the obvious "diarrhea".
By my 4th and 5th week, while I was enduring all of that, the first telltale signs of my lower abdominal muscles pulling and stretching started. So apparently you get those because your body is trying to loosen up those muscles and stretch them to make space and maybe avoid tearing of said muscles but I will say one thing, WHENEVER AND IF EVER THE MEDICAL FIELD TELLS YOU "THIS PROCESS OR PROCEDURE MIGHT FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE, BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE PAINFUL", Sisters expect pain. This is my little piece of advice, because nothing about the stretching of those muscles was " NOT PAINFUL".
